i really admire the design for these stairs and how they incorporate a wheelchair access ramp. in a world were barrier free design is essential to living a full and happy life, its amazing to see landscape architect Cornelia Oberlander has taken literal steps to design stairs AROUND a ramp, instead of the other way around.

The space Choker was really a fun creature to design. It was supposed to represent the weight of depression on Lou’s mother character.
Fractal art is a type of digital art that’s considered new media. It’s not drawn or painted by hand, rather, fractal-generating software is used that relies on mathematical calculations to visually display objects. Italy-born Silvia Cordedda was made aware of fractal art in 2012, and has since amassed a body of work that’s nothing short of extraordinary.
Her 3D abstract art is often centered on flowers but ones that could never exist in this world. The translucent nature of the pedals coupled with the brilliant variety of colours makes each flower look as if it could only exist in our dreams or perhaps a wonderful, magical world.
novastructura is maintained by Giuseppe Randazzo, a designer from Turin (Italy). This site wants to be an open and evolving place where to share my works and experiments as well interests on several topics, ranging from generative art, new-media art and contemporary art, to architecture, coding, science, tech, and so on. The meaning and the reason of novastructura may be seen as the need to explore the blurred boundary between art and science. Photographer Tarek Mawad and animator Friedrich van Schoor just spent six weeks embedded in nature to create Bioluminescent Forest. The filmmakers state that everything you see was created live, without any effects added in post-production.

Bismuth crystals aren’t exactly true minerals, but they show some of the symmetry properties and are really easy to grow. You can buy kits to be able to do this. Do not use a good pot or tongs - you aren’t likely to get them back.
